The brothers have opened a tearoom, where ladies meet, eat, talk and shop, while schmoozing over cups of tea. The ladies' stories come alive in this fast-paced, entertaining musical. This energetic show celebrates the triumphs of keeping a positive attitude. Written and directed by Rachelle Neuman with original music by Linda Kaufman. www.josephinetheatre.org
ITCFighting for Democracy
Through January 18
UTSA's Institute of Texan Cultures
801 S. Bowie Street

"Fighting for Democracy" uses World War II as a framework to examine the concept of democracy and its relation to minorities. Presented in a multimedia narrative format, the exhibit chronicles the lives of seven ethnically diverse Americans during the World War II era. Their stories all point toward the thematic question of the exhibit: "Who is the 'we' in 'We the People'?"  Fighting for Democracy is on loan by the National Center for the Preservation of Democracy at the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles. www.texancultures.com
