MLS PIN Subscriber Update
May 20,2009

10 Year Anniversary ImageSpring has finally arrived, and with it, much increased activity on the system and for all of you, as well!  Thank you to those of you who took the time to respond to our recent Customer Satisfaction Survey.   Based on some of the responses, I would like to take some time to tell you what we've been working on and what you can expect to see in the near future:
New Required Data Entry Fields

Lender Owned - testWe have added two new required data entry fields for "Lender Owned" and "Short Sale with Lender Approval Required."  The options for the newly required field Lender Owned are Yes, No, or Undisclosed.  The options for the newly required field Short Sale with Lender Approval Required are Yes, No, or Unknown.  These two fields have also been added to the standard listing search screen and are displayed on the full listing report.  If during listing input of your existing listings, you chose Lender Owned under the current Terms field, the new Lender Owned field has been automatically updated to say "Yes."  All other existing listings have been updated to say "Undisclosed" and we suggest that you manually update them.

H3MLS Login

Don't forget that you can login to H3MLS through our corporate website.  This login will allow you to save your id and password and is the best login method to ensure quick access, as well as important updates posted on our website.  We need to occasionally switch server id's and if you are using a shortcut to a specific H3 server on your desktop, or have bookmarked H3 in your browser there is a chance you might not gain access to the system.  Bookmark www.mlspin.com today to ensure the fastest access to the system.

Attention Appraisers and Trainees
MLS PIN Makes it EASier to Comply!

Man Against Mouse - EAS - testMLS PIN is pleased to introduce Essential Appraisal Solution (EAS) in beta version.  EAS is a brand new application designed to help appraisers comply with the new Fannie Mae Market Conditions Addendum to the Appraisal Report (Form 1004MC) now required on all mortgage loan appraisals of one to four unit properties.  Let us automate the completion of this form for you!  Hurry our FREE trial of EAS ends in less than two weeks on May 31, 2009!  Learn More.

Note: For your security starting June 1st, our EAS program will determine if there are two users logged on to the EAS application with the same password.

Visual Changes to H3MLS

Change Letters - testWe have made the first of our visual changes to the H3MLS system. Some of these changes include the addition of color, watermarks, and the layout of icons. Everything you access has remained in its original location and functions the same. These are simply gradual design changes, as we slowly phase into our next generation application. We hope you enjoy the fresh and enhanced look.  Stay tuned for more updates coming throughout the next few months.
Additional Public Records Data

Mortgage data has been added to our public records.  You now have access to historical mortgages, refinances, second mortgages, etc. for properties in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and parts of New Hampshire.  It is our hope that this information will bring you more value and help determine equity on the properties you list.  Our historical sales and mortgage data goes back to 1996 or the 3 most recent sales transactions.

MLS PIN Mobile Enhancements

10 Year Anniversary ImageOur development team has made more enhancements to our MLS PIN Mobile Solution.  The much anticipated "Save Agent ID and Password" option has been added, but remember it is only available on certain devices.  If you do not see this as an option when you login, your mobile device does not perform this function.  Users also now have the option for "Hot Sheets" using our Mobile Solution.  During a search, you should see a drop down menu of your saved H3 Hot Sheets.  You can access all of your saved Hot Sheets, but will not be able to create or edit them from your mobile device. Visit our website Mobile Solution.

Listing Alert Flags

WhiteTrianglewithRedExclamationPointAgents are now able to flag their own listings without having to fax the Active Status Request form to MLS PIN.  You will still need to have your seller sign this form, and we suggest that you keep them on file at your office.  In order to make this change in H3, you will go to listing maintenance, select status of your listing, and then "Yes" for Listing Alert Flag.  We hope this makes things a little easier for all of you.  If you have any questions, please contact our Customer Support Department at 800-695-3000 option 1.

Open House and Broker Tour Search

Red Door - testAs a result of much customer feedback, we have added the option "Tomorrow" to the search page "Show Only Upcoming" time-frame drop down menu for Open Houses and Broker Tours.  This addition allows our customers the option to view only Open Houses and/or Broker Tours scheduled for the following day.

Note:  This has been added to both H3 and our Mobile Solution.

Remember that all system changes are posted on the H3MLS homepage.  Be sure to take a moment every day to see if any new information has been added.  As we phase into our next generation MLS application this will be a valuable tool for us to keep you informed of system enhancements.

GE/Supra Electronic Key Reciprocation

Statewide MLS in Rhode Island has opted not to renew their contract with GE/Supra.  Due to this change, anyone using an MLS PIN keypad in Rhode Island will no longer have this capability as of May 29, 2009.

MLS PIN will continue its keypad reciprocation with Connecticut, New Hampshire and Vermont allowing anyone licensed in these states that has leased a key through us to use their key, free of charge.  If you are licensed in Connecticut, New Hampshire or Vermont and haven't taken advantage of this complimentary benefit, please download the appropriate form with instructions from our website Forms and Flyers.
