In addition to running Studio 3, Kyley also enjoys taking out the camera and letting loose.

Photography provides Kyley with a medium to express the complex relationships that she shares with her animals. She is inspired everyday by her animals' unique personalities and humorous antics. Through her work, she is able to capture the very human characteristics that animals possess. Kyley chooses to push this familiarity with conventional ideas about animal portraiture through digital photography.

With Photoshop as her darkroom, she turns her portraits of animals into nontraditional digitally based art. Kyley employs many traditional tropes; technical drawings (blueprints) become structured drawings that comment on traits specific to breeds and species of animals; photobooth portraits contain animals instead of the traditional snapshot of human participants.

The special connection that Kyley shares with her own animals adds a personal touch to every photograph that she takes. The animal kingdom is her world and she enjoys capturing every moment of it through the lens of her camera.
