GOODNESS I'M FREEZING!  WHERE DID SUMMER GO?
 
Hope this finds everyone well.
 
On my backburner, I've been working on all sorts of fun stuff; workout stuff, water stuff, webstuff, small book stuff, ---nothing fully baked yet, however!

Invest in YOURSELF!
Change and improve what you can!
 
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
 
In these trying times, can you identify what you CAN change? 
If you have nothing else, you always have your body, which is your vehicle.  Just like your car needs maintenance and oil...it is best practice to take care of your body as a priority.  Right now we all have a chance to get in the best shape possible while we ride this wave of economic uncertaintly.  We must come out of this HEALTHY, fit and marketable. 
So yes the world is changing AND so is the weather so please STAY ALERT and take care of youself.
 
I have found that when LIFE (or crisis) happens, I have two choices;
--this will make me fitter
--this will make me fatter
 
KNOW the CROSSROADS of those two decisions and make a decision to INVEST in yourself. 
 
CHOOSE WELLNESS & FITNESS...IT FEELS SO MUCH BETTER.

Well just in time for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I got to look at this book, and WOW...it's got wellness and prevention and empowerment AND even wheatgrass in there !!!!! 
How much cooler can it be...it's got a forward from Sheryl Crow!

and yes, the author does use the "f" word...so beware...  :)

 I have my very own copy on order right now.. AND I also really loved that the author's reading list includes many of my favorite cancer empowering books such as

A Cancer Battle Plan: Six Strategies for Beating Cancer, from a
Recovered "Hopeless Case" by Anne E. Frähm with David J. Frähm

A Cancer Battle Plan is another very EMPOWERING book....short read and WOW.

CAN YOU EVEN GET IN ONE HOUR PER DAY?  ONE HOUR PER WEEK?
WHY NOT?
Oh I know you guys are all fired up about The Biggest Loser!
I can only hope that you're recording it so you're not losing workout time sitting on the couch watching it and crying...LOL..
I've lost 160 pounds while commuting and working multiple jobs in Los Angeles while taking care of family.  I went from a XXXL, size 40 to size 4..no drugs and no surgery.
 
I love that The Biggest Loser MOTIVATES EVERYONE!  
 
HOWEVER 
   
YOU CAN BE THE COOLEST LOSER too.
If I did it, you can too!

 
Points to Ponder::
 
--Remember those folks put their LIVES on hold:
"They have no jobs, school, family responsibilities, last-minute meetings, errands to run, bills to pay, cell phones to answer or obligations to attend to. Their only focus is exercising and losing weight. When contestants finally go home, you can see the fear on their faces. They know how hard it will be to continue their diet and exercise plans when LIFE resumes."
REALLY THINK ABOUT THIS. 

 
--They are losing weight at a rate that is not recommended.  All weight loss and fitness professionals can agree that an average of 2 pounds per week is good and more than that is simply not good.

--CAN THEY KEEP IT OFF?
If you are not changing your lifestyle IN YOUR LIFE, 
how will you return to your NORMAL LIFE and keep it off?   It's not like you can just lose weight and then go
eat 10 pizzas to celebrate. 
LEARN THE TOOLS TO STAY FIT IN YOUR REAL LIFE.


Point being, if you are a normal person, you should have a normal trainer that understands the demands of life in the city.
