THE CIA’S THIRD CAMPUS

Our host for this year’s Leadership Conference is The Culinary Institute of America’s third campus in San Antonio, Texas.  The campus is on the site of the historic Pearl Brewery on the San Antonio River just north of downtown.

In 2001 Kit Goldsbury, a San Antonio native with a lifelong passion for Latin American food and a successful career in foodservice joined forces with the CIA in an outreach effort to develop a new education and research center that would raise the profile of Latin American cuisines and culinary traditions with Latino chefs at the forefront of the movement.

The pilot program began in 2006 and in 2008 the CIA San Antonio became an official branch campus of the college.

We invite you to see this unique facility during our Leadership Conference for foodservice instructors, June 21-23, 2012.  Come see how a dream—el sueńo—came true!
