“Learning From the Ground Up”
Our second annual Sustainability Workshop will be hosted by Seattle Culinary Academy, July 27-29. Included in the workshop is a full-day tour to Skagitt Valley where you will visit multiple suppliers, see the Seattle Culinary Academy’s farm lab, as well as visit both a university as well as high school program using the sound educational guidelines to teach this topic.
Another day will include a trip to the Farmer’s Market where teams will purchase food to use in the Mystery Basket (fun) Competition at lunch. You’ll also learn how to make cheese, hands on, and hear from guest speakers on a variety of topics.
