She has served as president of the Women Chefs and Restaurateurs, a national organization whose mission is to further the education, advancement and connection of women in the culinary industry. Chef Pothier has appeared at the James Beard house as well as being a guest chef aboard a transatlantic crossing on the QE2.
Gerry Fernandez founded the MFHA whose mission is to bring the economic benefits of diversity and inclusion to the food and hospitality industry by building bridges and delivering solutions. He has worked in both industry as well as education and prior to MFHA, was an account executive for General Mills Corporation.
