Dole Food Company has developed a FREE “Fruit Cost Savings Calculator
which allows you to select a fruit variety, enter your own costs, calculate the cost per pound of usable fruit, and determine cost savings.  What a great tool to show your students applications of culinary math!  Go to www.dolefoodservice.com site, click on the Cost Savings Calculator and scroll down to an order form for materials for your classroom use.
