The biggest “buzz” in our industry right now is healthy eating. From fast food to school lunch, from ethnic to white tablecloth, there is every indication that healthy eating is what will preoccupy the next trend in the U.S. dining.
CAFÉ's workshop, The Healthy Menu, will focus on ingredients, cooking methods, as well as menu design, looking at food as nourishment as well as pleasure. We’ll hear from experts in a variety of fields talking about topics ranging from whole grains to healthy oils; from healthy baking to allergens and intolerances.
Flavor pairings, seasonings, slow cooking, recipe modifications and more!
Join foodservice instructors and trainers in their quest to not only do the right thing, but teach the right principles to the next generation of culinarians!
CAFÉ is proud to join forces with Johnson & Wales University/North Miami for its first-ever Fall event, October 22-24, celebrating The Latin Table!
Join attendees in exploring the wealthy of flavors, ingredients and cooking methods that make Latin & Caribbean food so exciting. In addition to lecture, demos, and hands on, there is a tour planned to the Fruit & Spice Park in Redlands, one of the not-to-be-missed culinary sites in South Florida.
SPECIAL REGISTRATION FEE! This event is offered at a special registration fee of $199 plus $75 materials fee and includes a chef’s jacket, knife kit, educational materials, and the tour.
