Land of Dance and Dragon explores the diverse beauty of Indonesia. Besides the extensive selection of indigenous flora and fauna, the archipelago offers a rich source of living traditions. In conjunction with exhibition on 4 February a different Javanese dance will be featured every hour by Garrett Kam and Neomi Ogo, who were both trained in Yogyakarta at the dance schools at Pujokusuman. more info

The Advanced Filipino Abroad Program just completed its 19th program. To date, AFAP has trained 208 participants (since 1991). We are constantly looking for innovative ways to increase the proficiency in Filipino of the AFAP students. The ever-growing scale of violent mass displacement, routine measures of the de facto sealing of borders and the criminalization of migrant labor are phenomena that are creating important fields for scholarly engagements. Massively concentrated in Asia and Africa, most of the displaced people who illegally traverse the borders, are segregated in gated refugee camps and artificially reproduced by an army of humanitarian organizations that keep people enclosed, but alive.
