Please be courteous to our Council Facilitators' and complete a registration form, before the deadline, for ALL Adult Learning sessions. Also ensure that any session/course fees are paid when registering. The session facilitator will now ask for your confirmation, please print confirmation and bring with you to your class. If you do not have your printed confirmation and are not on the roster you will be asked to reschedule for a later date!

 

Also, please notify GSLE at least 24 hours before the class if you are not going to attend - payments will not be transferred or refunded unless we receive prior notification of your cancellation!

Leadership Essentials

For all volunteer positions working directly with girls.

Learn how to help manage a group of girls while providing a safe experience; understand the Promise and the Law; lay out a typical meeting; describe the importance of all of the components of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience and utilize Journeys and The Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting in all aspects of girl led, learning by doing, and cooperative learning. Adult and Child CPR and First Aid

For all registered Girl Scout adults and girls (ages 14 and up) who need Level I First Aid certification.

 

Troops going on a day outing need to have an adult with Level I First Aid certification. This enrichment session consists of hands-on, lecture and visual information on administering CPR and first aid to adults and children. Other emergency situations, such as choking, strokes, breathing difficulties are covered also. Successful demonstration of skills and passing of the tests will enable the participant to be a Level I First Aider.

Basic Camping 

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 

All registered and screened adult volunteer taking a troop/group on a day or overnight camping and/or outdoor cooking experience.  

 

Course topics include health and safety considerations for camping with groups, group dynamics in the out-of-doors, progression, program and environmental activities, outdoor skills (including safety, fire building, outdoor cooking methods, knife skills, cleaning and care of campsites, etc.) and minimal impact camping. Archery 
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

For all leaders, interested registered adults, and girls (age 14+) working with Girl Scout Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors.

This training covers archery safety, equipment, and techniques.  Upon completion of the course, the learner will be able to teach archery to the girls and check out the necessary equipment at Camp.
