  Friday June 3 Tour Postponed

Greetings!

Due to the expected and unseasonal rain predicted for this Friday, June 3, Dr. Eastman and I have decided it is in all of our best interests to postpone the tour - the new date is Friday, June 17 at 5:30pm - 7:30pm.  RSVP by sending an email to info@montereyhorsepark.org.  

We will meet at the corner of 8th and Gigling, on the former Ft. Ord. This is just at the entrance to the MHP property. We will have a short briefing, then walk to the site and enjoy some Friday evening hors d'oeuvres. Again we are limiting the tour to 30 Founding Friends.

The third tour is scheduled for Saturday, July 16, from 10:30am to 1:00pm. Again we are limiting the tour to 30 Founding Friends. RSVP by sending an email to info@montereyhorsepark.org.

For all the tours, plan for Monterey weather - wear layers, sturdy walking shoes, hats and bring sunscreen.  For our evening tour, a jacket might be good too.

Dr. Tim Eastman will be leading the tour, accompanied by several Monterey Horse Park Board Members.

We are excited about the tours - nothing creates enthusiasm for this project as walking on the property and seeing the potential...our group last Saturday was so enthusiastic - one of the comments heard "they don't make land like this any more!"  Look for some great photos of the first tour to be posted on our new web site in the next week.

Additional tours in the works are a horseback riding tour and a driving carriage tour... with dates to be arranged.

We want to thank you all for the support you have shown the Monterey Horse Park over the past years. We look forward to meeting you "on tour".

The Monterey Horse Park continues to build a team of enthusiastic volunteers to attend area horse shows and competitions to spread the word about the Park, the clean-up timetable and future plans.
