Need help determining which NCLB Parent Notifications you are required to send home?

TransACT RoadMaps Can Help!

Roadmap_button After you've logged-in to your TransACT account, have you ever noticed the gray button in the red navigation bar at the top of your screen that says "RoadMap" and wondered what in the world that is?

The TransACT RoadMap is YOUR RoadMap for compliance!  Many building administrators struggle to determine which parent notices are required for their specific campus. It is a near impossible task for a principal to be an expert on all of the regulations surrounding parent communication while still trying to run a school.

That is why TransACT created the RoadMap tool with building principals in mind!  This easy to use logic-based survey helps you sort through  regulations and create a compliance plan for parent communication.
Through a short series of "yes" and "no" questions, the TransACT RoadMap can help you determine exactly which parent notifications and forms are required for school-to-home communications based on your school or district's specific situation.

The TransACT RoadMap provides you with accurate guidance for the following NCLB compliance areas:
  • Highly Qualified Staff
  • Title III Requirements
  • Adequate Yearly Progress
  • Supplemental Education Services
  • Public School Choice
  • Parent Involvement
  • Title I Schoolwide Program Eligibility
  • Unsafe Schools
  • Access to Student Information
  • Homeless Education
  • Private Schools
  • Restructuring

Section_504_101The comprehensive summary report generated by the RoadMap will provide federal regulations, implementation suggestions and recommendations for parent notices available right on the TransACT website.

But. . .  how long does it take???  You will be pleased with how easily your district can create personalized compliance site plans for parent notifications in less than one hour.

Employee Spotlight: Get to know the team behind the scenes!
Donnelly_familyBill Donnelly
Executive Director - Finance & Administration

How long have you been with TransACT?
A few months short of 5 years.

Please describe what you do:
I usually tell people that I'm responsible for everything with a $ sign attached to it, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, taxes, financial reporting and budgeting. In addition, I handle HR, employee benefits and contract compliance.

Hometown:
Bettendorf, Iowa

Birthday:
December 10

College:
I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1982 with a BA in Accounting. While at UNI, I was also a member of the varsity wrestling team.

What was your favorite subject in school?
I found history and humanities classes to be fascinating.

What aspect of working at TransACT do you enjoy the most?
I like the variety that my job provides. I also enjoy working with my teammates to develop ways to improve operations and grow our business.

When do you feel successful in life?
I feel successful most every day, as I've been blessed with good health, a good job and wonderful family & friends to share my life with. However, what makes me feel the most successful is when someone makes an effort to tell me what a terrific young woman my daughter has grown to be.

Outside of work, what do you enjoy?
I love the outdoor activities readily available to us here in the Pacific Northwest - especially hiking and fishing. In addition, over the last three years my wife and I have very much enjoyed traveling to our daughter's collegiate rowing team competitions.

Whom do you admire most?
Without question, my grandmother. At the age of 38, two weeks away from delivering their 10th child, her husband suddenly and unexpectedly passed away. The courage and strength it took for her to raise her family on her own is beyond belief. (By the way, all 10 grew to be people I also admire very much.)

If you were not at TransACT, what would be your dream job?
As I'm a big fan of Major League Baseball (and this is only a dream), I'd like to spend my summers as a bench coach with the Seattle Mariners.
