Sage Canyon and Jamie Moore have teamed up once again
to bring you the 2012 Family Portrait Event!
For a special price of $100, your family will have a
a 15-minute mini-session which includes:
An 8" x 10" photograph of your choice plus a digital file of the same photo.
Additional photos can be purchased at a 25% discount.
Jamie will be donating 50% of the mini-session fee to the Sage Canyon PTA.

PLAYGROUND PARTNERS
We need parents like you! Come play with us!
Make a difference as a volunteer at Sage Canyon School!
YMCA Playground Partners is at Sage Canyon School during
lunch recess on Tuesdays (grades K, 1, 2, and 3) and Thursdays
(grades 4,5, and 6) from 11:45am-12:45pm. Playground Partners is a
professionally directed, parent volunteer program designed to enrich the
lunchtime recess experience by providing an outdoor curriculum for
K-8th grade students that builds self-confidence, models effective
communication and conflict resolution skills, and encourages teamwork and sportsmanship. If you sign up to volunteer with YMCA Playground
Partners for four sessions each month, you can receive a free family
membership to the Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA!

WELCOME SONDEE KALAMA
Please join the Sage Canyon staff in extending a warm welcome
to Sondee Kalama. Sondee joins the Sage Canyon family Monday
morning as our new office assistant. Sondee is a San Diego native
and most recently returned to SoCal after living in Las Vegas.
For the last five years Sondee served as the office manager for
O'Roarke Elementary School - a school similar to Sage Canyon in
student enrollment. As you call or come to the Sage Canyon office,
please take a minute to introduce yourself and your children to Sondee.
We are thrilled to have her with us!
DEL MAR SCHOOLS EDUCATION FOUNDATION
The Del Mar Schools Education Foundation (DMSEF) is looking
for Sage Canyon parents to join it's board to support the 2012/2013
annual fundraising campaign which raises money for the Extended Studies
Curriculum (ESC) program. The ESC program provides resources for
Science, Art, Music, Technology and Physical Education programs for schools
in the Del Mar Union School District. This year, Sage Canyon is allocated
three DMSEF board representatives; one school captain, one grade ambassador coordinator and one additional rep to support DMSEF efforts at the school.
