Greetings Ladies;
Welcome to our new subscribers.  Appreciation, as always, to the women who travel with us and read our monthly newsletter. Spring is well on her way with summer not far behind. Your next newsletter will arrive mid May, just before I leave for our English Garden Tour.
Know & Trust

While walking in our village, I was stopped by a friendly face who asked me, "Are you still doing your travel trips for women?" Yes, I replied. She went on to tell me her husband had died. She said she had traveled with a friend and wants to travel more. She is an acquaintance from the days our kids went to school and knows and trusts me so would feel comfortable traveling with me. I was touched by her sincerity and willingness to forge ahead with living her dreams.

 Those of you who have been reading this newsletter for a few years have a sense of my travel style and what matters to me; my views, ideas, choices, and inspiration.

 Each month I try to give you, our women travelers from afar, an opportunity to get to know and trust me as I share details of the tours and snippets from my daily life. As one client told me, "you really don't try and sell anything." She is right. I am not selling you on traveling with us. I am writing each month to encourage you to live the life of your dreams and support your travel dreams by offering excellent tours with solid value and expertise; pure and simple.

California Dreaming

Lots of variety is part of our California Dreaming tour. I am offering newsletter readers a complimentary spa treatment if your reservation is in before Mother's Day. Treat yourself and reserve this trip to experience a week of dreaming just for you. You will sip wine in Sonoma or Napa, immerse yourself in San Francisco and then enjoy the beaches of Carmel by The Sea and the rugged Big Sur coast. Life doesn't get any better. You will love our choices on this tour.

July 4th

I am doing the happy dance with our first client coming from Australia for our Walking in Wyoming tour this June. As it turns out, she wanted to see more of America and was considering landing in San Francisco and then returning to the West coast before heading home. I like the West Coast; in fact I love the West Coast but I asked her, "Do you think you will be coming back to America?" She replied, "It's doubtful." I then explained how the east and west coasts were so different and suggested she consider flying back east with me when we leave Wyoming? She thought about it and decided to visit the east coast. She will now visit our small coastal village and stay at one of my favorite inns for a few days, eat lobster, walk the beaches and then head to Boston for some museums and The Freedom Trail before leaving for New York and the July 4th celebrations. The hardest part of this itinerary was deciding where to recommend for her to experience July 4th in America. I was torn between small town New England and the Big Apple. Either one would have worked, but I suggested New York. I worked with her to arrange many of the details and edit the itinerary that is now in place. Knowing how I have made a difference in her life through travel brings me great joy. Serendipity Traveler is all about helping women travel comfortably. Life is short, Travel Well.

La Dolce Vita

The Italy trip is almost ready for the website. I am running a bit behind in finalizing this tour which is perfectly timed to visit Italy in autumn. Stay tuned as I have spent much more time refining and recreating this trip than planned. We are adding in Lucca which is an extraordinary medieval walled town. Pienza is a perennial fave and, of course, Florence. If you have been to Italy, come with us again. If this is your first trip, please join us. There is a sense of indescribable deliciousness in the people, landscape, and traditions. Italy offers us La Dolce Vita lessons for living well. If you are interested in this tour, please send me a no obligation pre res note to pr@serendipitytraveler.com and let me know you are considering this trip.

Final Call

You still have time to join us on our Walking in Wyoming tour June 21st, to the Grand Tetons. I just made our reservations for the 14 mile scenic raft trip with my favorite outfitter and the only rafting company allowed to operate within the Grand Tetons National Park. We have room for one more with a private room at the award winning Hotel Terra at Teton Village.

Royal Wedding Notes

On our annual English Garden tour we always enjoy the Sunday afternoon organ concerts at Westminster Cathedral; a fine way to enjoy the majesty of this historic place.

One of my friends, who joined us on our Dominica tour from Britain, grew up in the village of Buckelbury and her son took piano lessons from the same teacher as Kate. She writes me that it is so funny to see all the village people on television. She is sad the village she grew up in will now be inundated with tour buses.

Our friend, Robert Quinney, married to my daughter's girlfriend, Cecilia, is the Sub Organist at Westminster and played for The Royal Wedding. They live at The Cloisters there. I am sure we will hear lots about the Royal Wedding when we see them again.

Nova Scotia

As some of you already know, we spend summers in Nova Scotia and you can come for a visit on our Nova Scotia tour which is truly from a local's perspective. If you remember the heat of last summer, you may wish to reserve this trip where the cooling summer breezes and Maritime beauty will offer you a stunning vacation. No glitz or glam; just salty folk with a seafaring story. From the renaissance of Halifax to the UNESCO town of Lunenburg, we will discover why people return again and again to this magical region which is undiscovered, untouristed, and simply beautiful. We will visit one of the last remaining pristine untouched stretches of coastline that I have ever experienced in my travels from Nova Scotia to Florida. If you like the sea and her mystery, this trip is for you. Reserve now easily online.
