Greetings, Welcome to everyone. Happy summer days to each of you! As you may note, the newsletter is out a bit earlier than usual as I will be on our Walking in Nova Scotia trip in mid July. Thanks to the many women who read our monthly notes and to those women who are traveling with us this summer. Please share our newsletter with your colleagues, family and others who like to travel as much as you do. Sit back, sip lemonade, a glass of wine, or iced coffee and review your bucket list and all the possibilities. Remember, it is not how long you live, it is how much!

Women's Travel Tip
Drink, drink and drink some more. Water that is! Water is the best beverage to drink when flying. |
R Words
Reservations is the selection for my continuing series of R words. It has occurred to me that we have not talked about reservations in the newsletter. Our online reservation system is user friendly and easy to follow. Some women call me directly; others click through our secure system online. Whichever you prefer works fine. A deposit is the first step in the reservation process. If we haven't yet spoken, I will call you to find out a few details. Deciding on whether you want to share a room or have your own private room is important. Many women prefer the privacy and freedom of a private room while others are totally comfortable sharing. There is no single supplement unless you want a private room. The choice is yours. Payments are made by check sent to us via mail or through the secure Pay Pal system on line. Payments are due in full prior to departure as our commitments to accommodations, guides, drivers and transport, etc are made well in advance. We always try to accommodate the last minute traveler. Please call me before booking air to make sure we have space for you. Life happens and sometimes we have space last minute. Reservations are simple to make, and we look forward to receiving yours.

Bath & The Cotswolds 2010 Just received an envelope filled with photos and compliments from a client on our recent English garden trip. What memories! I am so thankful that women who travel with us stay in touch with me and travel again. We shared a glorious week in England of blue skies and that rare English ingredient of sunshine. The English gardens were stunning and the group of women energetic, fun and easy to travel with. Our delightful guide in London led us on a walk of London's Royal Parks to Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, London Bridge, and through the little traveled Westminster Abbey backyard - a spirited historical walking overview of the heart of London. We took tea at the Ritz and were wooed by the fashions coming and going.
The Chelsea Flower Show in London is always busy and continually stunning. A favorite this year was an exhibit created by an organization serving the homeless. Gardening is transforming lives and I was totally inspired with their garden and story. Our accommodations are quintessential English on this journey and we sample fine food everywhere from Babylon Rooftop Gardens in London to pubs in the countryside and food fresh from the garden of our country manor house in Sussex. New for 2010 is a longer trip including Bath and The Cotswolds. You can choose which length trip suits you. Both trips are on the web now and the link takes you to our longer trip.

This trip will be intended to be a pure bliss break leaving the trappings of technology and immersing your sensibilities in the tropical ambience of the islands. Do you have a favorite island? When the winter winds are blowing, can you imagine a little tropical bliss to take care of yourself?

Autumn in New England
This jaunt is intentionally planned to give you the peak of fall colors in New England.
Arrive in Boston, meander through Concord as we head to Vermont, and then drive across The White Mountains of New Hampshire to end our week on the coast in Rockport. The rich history of this region is explored by walking, visits to artisan studios and galleries, staying in architecturally beautiful New England villages and of course, fine dining in country inns by the sea and discovering a sampling of the best of New England.

Inspiration
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore Dream Discover"
