Greetings,
Another newsletter going out to women I consider kindred spirits. Women who share a passion for traveling, for the creative life, and for living well. Whether you are a keen gardener, photographer, avid knitter, history buff, walker, gourmet cook, kayaker, music lover, runner, quilter, theatre goer, painter,  single, married, divorced or widowed, our trips are designed to expand the landscape of your life. We love to laugh, walk, explore and discover the corners of the world and welcome you to come along for the journeys we prepare with the utmost of artfulness and attention to details.

Aloha Winter Break
Inspired by my youngest daughter just back from her second trip to Maui, low airfares, hotel specials, and winter chills here in the northeast around the corner, I am spontaneously offering our  Aloha Winter Break  Due to time constraints, this trip will not be posted on our website.  The Aloha Winter Break trip is offered  to you all the newsletter readers,   friends, colleagues, aunts, sisters, daughters, and any other spirited woman you think would enjoy a vacation in the islands this winter.  Perhaps your own mother!!  This would be an excellent mother and daughter celebration.

We will see what happens with a short window of time to get the word out. In just two months you could be strolling the beaches of Maui known as the Valley Isle, sipping  tropical punches, snorkeling amidst the sea turtles or photographing the sunsets over the Pacific in the historical port of Lahaina.     Please help me spread the news for this serendipitous offer.  Six women who want to escape to the islands for tropical wintertime fun must reserve for this trip to fly. Please invite your friends, family, colleagues, any woman  you think needs a real vacation and would relish experiencing the spirit of Aloha in Hawaii this January. Here are some of the adventures we have included for your week  on Maui.

Hike  Maui   Our expert guide will take us on a 3-hour waterfall adventure to the west side of Maui.  You will enjoy a tour of the wilderness valley of pools and waterfalls.  A mile hike through a forested valley following an isolated stream to the top of a triple cascading waterfall will bring you to the real paradise of Maui.  You are also encouraged to swim in pools beneath small waterfalls throughout this beginner hike.

"The Incredible Journey" - The Road to Hana   One of the most breathtaking drives on earth - The Road to Hana.  With over 600 curves, 56 one-lane bridges, Maui pineapple fields,  spectacular cliffs, bamboo jungles, Maui waterfalls, cool tropical streams and pools, colorful and fragrant Maui island flowers and rain forest vegetation, the road to Heavenly Hana is a full day that you will always remember. I have taken  this trip and it is totally out of this world.

"Visit  to Haleakala"  No place you have ever been can prepare you for the experience and feelings you will have on the summit of the Haleakala volcano.  The landscape - deeply sculpted, richly colored, and intensely evocative will be unlike any landscape you have known.  Visually expansive, the summit area continually eludes any attempt to understand its scale or dimensions. You may spend a few hours hiking in the cinder desert landscape or a few minutes looking for native birds in the shrubland.  Whatever you choose to do, you will do it surrounded by native Hawaiian plants and animals.  The mountain summit is one of the only easily-accessible areas of Hawaii where rare and endemic species survive and thrive." Inspiring Women 2009
One of the British Travel publications I scan regularly just had a feature on how travel is inspiring women to step beyond boundaries and how we each must continue to take steps to wholly realize our natural gifts and inner beauty.  We are not all size zero and we do not need the myriad of products aimed at us by the billions of dollars spent on marketing trying to get us to look, act and be other than who we are.  Be yourself.  Love yourself and don't try to be anyone else.  Be your own best friend is what my mother taught me. Learn who she is, what she likes, how she feels and then go out and play.  Women who have inspired me have come from my own back yard and from all over the globe.  They can be found in the creative realms of authors and artists, in the inventive pioneers who tried something out of the box and in the women who take risks and venture to make the world a better place.  Every woman we meet can be an inspiration to us.  Each has her own story to write, edit, re write and share.  Evolving as we are with our spirits unfolding moment by moment, our hearts reaching out to the hurt in this world while receiving blessings abundantly.

Take time  to celebrate who you are and Thanksgiving will arrive early as you ponder the miracle of  your blessings. A Thanksgiving Blessing to each of you.

California Dreamin  Last Call
A spirited way to jumpstart 2009 would be to join our trip to Northern California.  The trip begins in San Francisco where we experience the history and vibrancy of the city.  We then cross the Golden Gate towards Sonoma to explore wine country, visit vineyards, sip wines, and meander the wine region.  Mid week, we leave San Francisco and travel south to the majestic and pristine California Coast settling in one of America's favorite villages, Carmel by the Sea.  From there, we will experience the Monterey Peninsula and infamous Big Sur.  The days will be gentle with walks, shopping, museums, tours, wine and soaking in the west coast way of life.  Airfare to the west coast has just this week plummeted to an all time low.  This is a perfect time to experience California Dreamin...
