Greetings,
Welcome to all from around the world who read and share our monthly newsletter.  We hope to meet more of you as you travel with us in the months to come.  As the blueberries find their way into muffins and school lunch boxes are featured at the local store with school supplies stacked up next to the jars for preserves, jams, jellies and pickles, one knows that summer light and beach days are becoming infinitely precious.   August days are amongst my favorites.  Perhaps the splendor of this month before September has something to do with living in the Northeast and knowing that longer days and ripe fresh garden tomatoes will be scarce soon.  Get the most out of these days.  Sail, walk, hike, pick blueberries, read, dream, swim, write, paint, try making pickles or jam, kayak, cycle, or do nothing at all.... Pure nothing!

Wyoming
On our Walking in Wyoming trip this year, we will experience the new Laurence S. Rockefeller Preserve, one of the most scenic and pristine areas in the Grand Teton National Park.  The preserve opened this summer and offers miles of walking and hiking trails enhancing the already endless opportunities in the Grand Teton region.  We are offering optional horseback riding at one of the local ranches.

Serendipity Traveler Style
Just had an inquiry from a woman who asked if our trips always go.  The answer is, Yes!   As long as we confirm your reservation the trip is a go.  We do not cancel trips with confirmed reservations unless an unexpected world situation warrants the wisdom of altering or changing our itinerary.  Some trips depart with a smaller group of women and others have more.  We like traveling with a smallish group.  All trips are thoughtfully handcrafted and itineraries are planned for small groups.  We don't have to wait for 50 people to board the bus, go to the bathroom or check in at hotels.  As this new client told me, "I am tired of cookie cutter tours."  We are definitely not cookie cutter.  Traveling with us is like joining a few friends and sharing the trip together.  Recently another woman told me, "I am not afraid of traveling alone and sometimes I even like it, but I would much rather have some others to talk to, share the times with, and dine with".

London and Paris
We will fly to London, explore the city and then, mid week, board the Eurostar to Paris."Chez Dumonet" (117 rue du Cherche-Midi), in the 6th.  It's a place where they do an anthology of classical French bistro dishes in a beautiful setting -- a sepia-toned restaurant where you walk in, sit down, and say, "all is well with the world."  Our Paris and London itinerary is almost ready for the website.  The details include 3 nights fine accommodations in Paris, all continental breakfasts, lunches, sipping Champagne on the Seine River trip, two day Paris museum passes, guided walking tour of Paris, visits to Saint Sulpice, Notre Dame, the Louvre, Luxembourg Gardens and the delightful arrondisements and lesser known gems that comprise Paris.  In London, we perch in Knightsbridge at a luxury small hotel and are only a short walk to shopping at Harrods in one direction and the renowned Victoria and Albert Museum in the other.  We will walk and walk in both cities.   During our stay in London, we will take Tea at the Ritz, enjoy a concert at Westminster, enjoy the theatre and relish an optional full day excursion out of the city to the quintessential idyllic English villages in the Cotswolds.  This trip highlights the best of two cities and is a true sampler, giving you a taste of the culture and essence of both London and Paris.  Our traditional gathering and farewell dinners are included.

Please check our website later this month for dates and to make your reservation.

Bliss
What is your bliss?  We all have different views on ways to relax, unwind and renew.

Life keeps moving on.  As summer turns slowly towards autumn, the summertime memories we captured will live on.  Hummingbirds, now plentiful, will become scarce and rosy apples will fill the bowls on our kitchen tables.  Dragonflies that once danced in the wild grasses leave us and the trees will begin their majestic transformations into a blaze of color.  Life keeps moving on.  With it, we choose each day how we will play, work and use the 24 hours given to each of us.  As the days unfold before us, we learn to take the time to savour the abundant beauty that this world offers.  We are wise to let go of the all encompassing technological tug and walk the beach, fall asleep under a canopy of stars, hear the sounds of silence in the trees and reconnect.  We can disconnect to reconnect with our innermost dreams and ourselves. If we don't listen to our dreams who will?
