This month we are also giving props to some of our awesome artist supporters - DJ Rap, Anané, Ultra Naté and Nickodemus.

NextAid is excited to bring its "dance for a difference" social movement to the home country of one of its beneficiary program (goGogetters). Partnering with Nu World Sessions, Good Times Events and Fusicology, the party will feature Nickodemus, Fletcher and Circuswing. Nickodemus will act as NextAid's DJ "ambassador," also playing on July 3rd with Freshly Ground in a World Cup fan park and at NextAid's party in Johannesburg!  A long time supporter of NextAid, Brooklyn-based Nickodemus is making his first pilgrimage to South Africa to indulge the energy and spread his love, light and organic vibe.

On May 26th, NextAid and SinningInLA gathered at the lovely superstar's home for her weekly one-hour live web show - a Wednesday night ritual since this past February for all DJ Rap fans. DJ Rap TV is effortlessly entertaining, with DJ Rap making it more than easy to fall in love with her and her beats. Each week, DJ Rap invites awesome folks (yes, that includes yours truly) over for a casual get together where she interacts directly with her fans, and treats their ears to some of her latest mixes, tracks and if they're extra lucky, a special live performance from her recently released album Synthesis. It is through these acoustic performances that we experience the raw foundation of DJ Rap's musical talent and passion - understanding how Synthesis is "a real record written in an accoustic way first." Although, you do need the show to know that her songs aren't just a bunch of lackluster beats tossed into a mix.
