Music,
media, and products that create change
Planetwize is changing the world one
music download at a time - turning
music lovers into activists. The
albums available for purchase through their download site each support a
worthy cause. NextAid is humbled to have 4 such music projects help
raise funds for the Kawangware Street Child and Youth Project.
Nickodemus
- Sun People
Conceptually, 'Sun People' was built with songs
made for people who love the sun, sunshine and brighter days to come. Songs
were inspired by various people Nickodemus met and places he's been, along with
his collective feelings of optimism. "Sun People makes the best of
every situation. When that sun peaks out in the sky, it's another day to feel
and do something positive" Packed
with brilliant collaborations, Sun People is a pan-continental party not to be
missed! Click here to learn more about Nickodemus.
Miguel Migs - Those Things Remixed
Miguel Migs achieves an organic-soulful sound by combining the best of
electronic music with live instrumentation. According to Migs: "It's music
you can enjoy and listen to at home, in the club, or anywhere. Not necessarily
just to to rock the dance floor."
Blue Turtle Seduction - 13 Floors
Both musically and socially aware,
Blue Turtle Seduction is a five-piece rock / bluegrass / reggae / hip-hop
hybrid, making music that defies classification. Embodying the essence of South
Lake Tahoe, CA, Blue Turtle Seduction captures the upbeat, party vibe and
jovial ambiance of their hometown.
Funk Aid - Big Beats Bringing Hope
dubSpot Record's Funk Aid for Africa benefits Los Angeles-based humanitarian
organization, NextAid. NextAid harnesses the power of music to raise funds for
sustainable development projects that make a tangible impact. An inspired
collage of funk, soul, and Latin tunes mixed and compiled by DJ OBaH, Funk Aid
for Africa features songs by twenty different artists including Ticklah, Ursula
Rucker, King Britt, Chico Mann, The Lions, and Ocote Soul Sounds. Click below to view and purchase.
