"Good Karma "

At the beginning of 2007, the Dali Lama was asked for his advice on how to live a peaceful life.  Below were his words of wisdom.  His words ring as true today as when he spoke them months ago.

 1.      When you lose, don't lose the lesson.
2.       Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.
3.       A loving atmosphere in your home is the foundation for
          your life.
4.      Share your knowledge. It is a way to achieve immortality.
5.      Be gentle with the earth.
6.      Once a year, go someplace you've never been before.
7.      Approach love and cooking with reckless abandon.
8.      Remember, that sometimes not getting what you want can
be a wonderful stroke of luck.
9.      Learn the rules so you know how to break them properly.
10.    Don't let a little dispute injure a great relationship.
11.    Practice the 3Rs:  Respect for self, Respect for others and
         Responsibility for all your actions.
12.    In disagreements with loved ones, deal only with the
current situation. Don't bring up the past.
