Greetings!

This is going to be the year of the "CLOUD" - Yes, the word that every CIO can explain yet not every CEO understands. So how do you address this issue within your organization?
We recently completed an engagement for a client that was tasked with developing a "Cloud Strategy" with the goal of reducing IT capital expenditures. Although many vendors are touting private, public and now hybrid clouds, what is the right plan for you? From rapid deployment, to pay as you go, to security and privacy there are many pitfalls to avoid. Get a Cloud Assessment before you open the doors and the rain falls on you. Gartner's latest survey ranked Cloud Computing as the Top priority for CIO's in 2012. Don't get left behind, call an expert at Advocate.

How did Valentine's Day affect your website performance?
Did you know the average Valentine's Day e-commerce site took a whopping 21.5 seconds to load last year? Or that 57% of shoppers say they will only wait 3 seconds before bouncing to another site? In 2011, that average shopper spent $116 dollars on Valentine's gifts.
Slow websites are a year-round problem. What are you doing to optimize your digital presence across your internet and mobile channels?
Web and mobile acceleration means:
- Improved increase in user traction - "A half-second delay resulted in a 20% drop in traffic to Google's search results" Marissa Mayer, Google
- Improved sales conversion rates - "Every 0.1 second delay costs Amazon 1% in sales" Greg Landon, Amazon
- Reduced risk of churn and user abandonment - "0.4 seconds of extra load time = 5%-9% more people clicking "back" before a page even loads" Nicole Sullivan, Yahoo
- Increased Revenue - "Saving 5 seconds results in 25% more page views and 12% more revenue" Philip Dixon, Shopzilla
Did you know that 53% of American women say they will kick their boyfriends to the curb if they don't get something on Valentine's Day. Do you want to be a part of that statistic?

Google Drive: Longstanding Rumor or Google's Newest Homerun?
|
 | | Google Drive Logo |
After 5 long years of rumors and speculation, Google is finally set to launch its cloud service offering, Google Drive (Drive for short), in the coming weeks or months according to this article from the Wall Street Journal. Users will be able to store photos, documents, and video on Google's servers - to be easily accessed by any smartphone, or tablet with a connection to the web. Similar to other like services, Google Drive will be free for most consumers and businesses and will charge those who want to store a large amount data but by far the most interesting capability will be the ability to share content via links (with some integration into Google+, of course).
