PATCO Improving Accessibility at Two Stations

PATCO began two projects designed to make the 9th/10th and Locust Station in Philadelphia and the Ferry Avenue Station in Camden more accessible.  The $5 million dollar initiative includes the installation of two elevators at 9th/10th and Locust and one elevator at Ferry Avenue. An elevator at the 9th/10th and Locust Station was the number one request from our customers and will provide easier access to nearby hospitals and medical services.  Ferry Avenue was also selected as over 2,500 customers use that station every day. It is the most used station currently without an elevator.  Both projects should wrap up by the end of the year.

In addition to Visa cards the PATCO gates will now accept contactless MasterCard and Discover cards. At that time, any of these contactless cards will enable you to pay your PATCO fare with a simple tap of the card and be on your way.
