BFB PaintingPATCO WELCOMED RIDERS VOTE

PATCO is in the midst of overhauling its entire 120-car fleet. There are 26 cars currently at the Alstom facility in N.Y.

PATCO asked riders to weigh in on the cars' new interior color scheme. Color palette boards were displayed at four stations (Ashland, Woodcrest, Haddonfield and Broadway) so customers could cast a vote on their favorite. Customers were also able to try out one of the new seats.

Voting was also available through the website for two weeks. Results of the voting will be released in future.  Thank you to all that voted.
PATCO Emergency Drill

PATCO will stage an emergency drill on Sunday, November 6th, at the Ashland Station in Voorhees, New Jersey.  The drill will simulate an emergency aboard a PATCO train located at the Ashland Station Platform.  The drill will require the closing of the Ashland Station between 6 a.m. and 12 Noon.  Over 100 people will be involved with the drill including PATCO personnel as well as DRPA Public Safety, Voorhees Fire, EMS, other local police departments and the Camden County Office of Emergency Management.  The drill must be conducted to comply with FTA requirements and to help local responders prepare for emergencies.
BFB PaintingPATCO Wave & Pay Pilot

The PATCO Wave & Pay ANYWHERE Visa Prepaid card is a reloadable Visa/PATCO fare and parking card. Some PATCO riders are already enjoying this other option in commuting and shopping.  There are many cards in circulation but there is still room for you. This Pilot Program is scheduled to run until September 2012. To get more information and receive a free card, stop by the FREEDOM Card Service Center or order one at www.PATCOpilot.com.

BFB PaintingPATCO CARES

The PATCO Cares program welcomed the Big Brothers/Big Sisters organization to the Lindenwold Station on October 26.  Big Brothers Big Sisters receives 75% of their funding from private donations. Supports from individuals provide mentors for children in many communities. A representative shared information about one of the specific divisions, Clothes for Kids' Sake. The organization also placed clothing collection bins from October 26th through November 2nd at Lindenwold, Ashland, Woodcrest and Ferry Avenue to receive new or gently wore clothing donations from PATCO riders. For more information about the organization and its programs, go to www.njpickup.org. PATCO would like to send a special "Thank You" to all the riders that filled the bins with donations.
Camden County Shredding Event

To help in the fight against identity theft, the Camden County Freeholder Board is sponsoring a free shredding day for Camden County residents wanting to destroy documents containing personal information.  Join us on Saturday, November 5 from 9:00 am to noon at the Woodcrest PATCO parking lot in Cherry Hill.  Industrial size shredder trucks will be on site to destroy private documents while residents watch.  No businesses please, and a limit of 175 pounds of paper per household is requested.

Trains have Speed restrictions during October, November and December due to flats incurred from wet leaves. We repaired 120 flats during this time last year.
