| DVRPC Cites DRPA/PATCO Light Rail Projects As
"Regional Transportation Program Of The Year"
The Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission recently honored DRPA/PATCO with its 9th annual "Regional Transportation Program of the Year" award. The award was presented at the DVRPC's Annual Celebration of Regional Excellence on May 20th.
The award recognizes the efforts by the DRPA and PATCO to develop plans for the expansion of two regional light rail services in Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey. One system would enhance the connection between Center City Philadelphia and the Delaware River Waterfront while the other would provide service between Glassboro and Camden in Southern New Jersey.

DRPA Receives Done Deals Award
 The Women's Business Enterprise Council of Pennsylvania, Delaware and South Jersey recently recognized the Authority's commitment to diversity with the "Done Deals Award." The Award is presented in recognition of the Authority having the highest number of actual "done deals" over the past year with women business enterprises within the region. DRPA Celebrates National Bike to Work Week
May is National Bike Month and one of the major events of the month is the weeklong Bike to Work Week. The Delaware River Port Authority showed its support for National Bike to Work Week, May 17 through 21, by extending the hours of the Ben Franklin Bridge walkway. Walkway hours were 6 a.m. until 10 p.m.
