These monthly e-newsletters are designed to provide you with an important source for information about new developments, updates, facts, and regional activities from DRPA.

RiverLink Ferry Opens for the 2010 Season

 
Join the celebration on Saturday, May 1, as the RiverLink Ferry kicks-off its 2010 season with a "Kids Ride Free Promotion". From Noon until 6 p.m. the ferry will offer a FREE ride to children ages 12 years and younger with each paid adult ticket purchase. As an added bonus our Waterfront partners, including the Camden Riversharks, Delaware River Waterfront Corporation, Battleship New Jersey, Hyatt Regency at Penn's Landing, Adventure Aquarium, Independence Seaport Museum, Campbell's Soup and The Camden Children's Garden will be participating in the event. The ferry's first departure from Camden is at 9:30 a.m. and Philadelphia at 10 a.m. The last ferry of the day will leave Camden at 6:30 pm and Penn's Landing at 7 pm.

DRPA and the Franklin Institute Team Up for Read Strong
 
As part of its Read Strong program, DRPA recently partnered with the Franklin Institute to bring 12 students from Freire Charter High School in Philadelphia to the Franklin Institute's Body Worlds 2 & the Brain Exhibit. The students received transportation to and from the exhibit, lunch and curricular materials for readiness in advance of their visit.
DRPA Helps Green Camden 
 
In April, staff from DRPA assisted the NJ Tree Foundation in its Urban Airshed Reforestation Program. For its part, DRPA provided a front end loader and operator to assist in planting trees on the grounds of RC Molina School and ECO Charter School in Camden, NJ.
