PATCO Cares: Ronald McDonald House Greets Riders with Cookies

The holidays aren't here yet, but PATCO riders have already been in the giving spirit.  The Ronald McDonald House recently visited the Collingswood station to distribute cookies to riders and to collect items for their wish list of pantry items that go to the sick children that they support.  The event was a success, as the Ronald McDonald House's collection bin was overflowing.

The PATCO Cares initiative, designed to help regional non-profit organizations promote their good works and seek support from the local community, will continue with an in-station visit from the Camden Boys and Girls Club on November 24 at Ferry Ave.
Special Savings

Did you know that through PATCO's FREEDOM to Save - the customer benefits program that lets riders get special offers and discounts at area businesses just by showing their FREEDOM Card - you can get $10 off your bill at Casona of Collingswood for orders over $50?  It's just one of the many offers available through FREEDOM to Save.

Check out this CBS 3 story  that shows how the FREEDOM to Save program works and that highlights some other program participants.

PATCO's Holiday Shopping Tips

Holiday shopping can be stressful enough without transportation worries.  Follow these helpful holiday tips to help keep peace of mind this season:

  • Travel with a bag with a strap that will let you easily carry your packages from station to station.  The area has a lot of great shops, so you won't want to limit yourself to one location.
  • Create a plan of attack.  Keep PATCO's schedule handy, and set times for yourself at each location so that you're able to hit all of the spots on your list.
  • When out shopping, check store windows and cashier counters for a FREEDOM to Save decal.  If you see one, you'll see savings and special offers just for showing your FREEDOM Card.
  • Shopping in Center City Philly?  Avoid traffic and parking worries, and take PATCO into the city for a fun shopping day.
