Reno-Recession Tips
I enjoy doing this segment of my E-Newsletter since I do come across several situations worthy of mentioning. I am a firm believer in the 6 P's......Proper Prior Planning Prevents Poor Performance. Perhaps some of my solutions may help your projects go smoother.
I found these G R E A T "Thrifty Ideas" in a personal finance section one of my trade magazines. Some ideas make good C E N T S!
1. Make your oven multitask; when heating your oven, fill it completely with meat entrees, cookies, cakes & biscuits, then freeze some for later use.
2. Clean with shampoo; Use an inexpensive brand for scrubbing tubs & tiles. It's nontoxic, smells good, & costs less than most cleaners.
3. Grow your own food!
4. Send less down the drain; kids always keep the water running when brushing teeth or doing the dishes?? Underneath the sink is a shutoff valve to reduce water flow.
5. Turn down This Thermostat; keeping your water heater at 100 degrees is adequate for most households, yet most settings are 125degrees. This may save a significant amount each month!
Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without!
