![]() In a time when shoulder pads and hairspray were
staples in
every fashionable ensemble, "Rain Man" won Best
Picture, "Don't Worry Be Happy" won song of the year,
and
Germany was celebrating the fall of the Berlin Wall,
Ohio
Business Week was preparing for its first summer
session.
Since its inception in 1989, OBW has evolved into the
program
that exists today. Through its evolution, the purpose
and goals
of OBW have remained intact. One of the most crucial
factors
to the Foundation's success is the role of loaned
executive or
company advisor (CA).

![]() Through the American free enterprise system,
entrepreneurs
create products and services which shape the
American
economy. Imagine a world where everyone,
employees and
employers alike, had the mindset of an entrepreneur,
an
attitude of independence and self-reliance, along with
the
skills to identify and solve problems and seek out
opportunities. Perhaps the greatest possible
outcome from an
entrepreneurially-literate society would be the ability
for
people to create their own jobs. If we taught our young
people
the necessary skills to develop the mindset of an
entrepreneur,
we could equip them with the tools they need to create
their
own destiny.
