first ever Catan train gaming experience!
This new addition to the Catan Histories series of games utilizes the familiar Catan hex-tile
grid to present a map of
the United States. Players collect and trade resources, in
order to purchase, migrate and build settlements, forge railroads and
 acquire locomotives....

 | New COW installer for Mac and Linux

Effective immediately, the COW client V3-1.680 replaces the
older version 3-1.657 for Mac OS X and Linux.

Using the English client frequently resulted in a rather slow
program startup compared to the German version. Under certain
adverse conditions this could even lead to the point that the client refused
to start up, showing a Java related error message.

Unfortunately, at this time the affected faulty files can not be
replaced by the automatic update procedure. Especially players
using the English client version should by all means download and
install the new program version.

 | In the Name of the Heroes - Prize Drawing for the Card Game!
In fall of 2010, a completely
revised version of the Catan
Card Game for 2 players will be published.

In celebration, we are holding a prize drawing where participants
can win a 3D-Catan,
4x "The Settlers of America," and 5x the Catan Dice Game Deluxe Edition.
Klaus Teuber talked about the development
of the new Catan Card Game™ in (so far) five blog posts at Catanism - blog.catan.com:

In part 5 of these blog posts, 36 cards were presented, among them
six "Heroes of Catan" whose names were blackened out - the protagonists
of Rebecca Gablé's Catan novel.

The solution word for our prize drawing is composed of a sequence
of single letters, using one letter from each of the names of
our heroes:

Letter 4 of the name of the character with the book. Letter 2 of the name of the character with the axe. Letter 2 of the name of the character with the raven. Letter 4 of the name of the character with the sword. Letter 3 of the name of the character with the hammer. Letter 2 of the name of the character with the sickle. If you have read the novel "Die Siedler von Catan" ("The Settlers of Catan") by Rebecca Gablé, it shouldn't be difficult for you to correctly assign the
names of the characters. You probably also saw the solution word in the
novel.

For all those of you who didn't read the book, we hid some hints on www.catan.com. Don't worry - if you
look around attentively, you can hardly overlook the hints.

 Conditions of Participation

Only residents of Europa and North America (USA and Canada) are eligible
to participate, since the prizes can only be shipped to these two
regions.
Please send the correct solution word as e-mail subjectto

 This e-mail address is being
protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
indicating your country of residence. Wrong solutions, solutions

Time).

There is no recourse to legal action. If we
receive
more than 10 correct solutions, the winners will be determined at
random. E-mail
notifications shall be sent to winners for their complete addresses.
Provided that the respective winners do not object, their names and the
names of
