A kind word is just the beginning
|
[A monthly article written to help you
get more
people
to buy--or buy in.]
What's your reaction when you get a favourable
comment from a client following a job well
done? Do
you feign embarrassment and simply say "Gee,
thanks"? If so, you have missed three great
opportunities. Try this response, instead,
and
boost
your income immediately.
- Upsell -- Ask them if there are any
other jobs
crying out for a
quote or if there is any other help you can
offer. There
is no
better time to talk about the next project
than when
they have spoken highly about the current
project.
- Referrals -- Ask them if there
is anyone
else they
know who
could benefit from the service or products
you have
provided. Dropping a familiar name
is a quick and easy introduction to just
about anyone.
- Future sales -- Ask them to provide
you with a
written testimonial.
Then use it in your advertising, on your
website, in
your letters--anywhere it will show others that
people have used your products or services
and have
been satisfied.

Working to protect our children
|
Adams Jette is pleased to announce its
support of the
national Child Sexual Abuse
Prevention
Network. Along with CTV
Ottawa
news anchor and producer Kimothy Walker, Adams
Jette partner, Ron Jette, is a co-founder of
the national
network and will sit as one of six
national board members.
Canadian research indicates that 53 percent of
females and
31 percent of males will be victims of
unwanted sexual
acts during their lives and that 80% of these
incidents
occurred
when
the victims were under 18 years of age. (Source:
Committee on Sexual Offences Against Children
and
Youths, 1984, cited in CPHA, 1994.)
The CSAPN will take a
three-pronged approach: it will
work with McGill University's School of
Social Work to
support
research; it will undertake aggressive
public- and
government-relations programs;
and it will develop a national online
clearinghouse of
programs and services that support survivors
of child
sexual abuse.

What our clients are saying...

"They were able to take my thoughts and translate
them into the exact message I wanted to get across, not
only to my clients, but to prospective clients, as well."

QuikTip

who, that -- Use who when
speaking of humans (or entities that are afforded a
similarly lofty status). The man who was here just
left. Use that to denote non-human
entities. Doors that squeak drive me crazy.
