We just had our first snow this past week! I am not ready!

At the end of September I had the opportunity to speak to two wonderful groups in Maryland. I presented my "Speak Now and Forever Get New Clients" workshop which was sponsored by the Baltimore Chapter of the National Association of Professional Organizers and then I spoke for the National Resume Writer's Association. I met so many great people and had an awesome time. One night I took a trolley tour of downtown Annapolis - amazing history there!

Last week I presented to MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) in Sioux Center, IA. I love speaking to young moms! They realize how important it is to take time for their young children every day. But, of course, it is so important whether you have young children or not to make time for others in our day. Read today's feature article and let me know who you are going to connect with soon!

A few days ago I was thinking that I hadn't talked with my daughter, Emily, for awhile. At least not 'real' talking as we had been sending texts back and forth. Part of it was that she had been traveling a lot but that was no excuse. As I was thinking about this I received an e-mail from Emily with this picture. I laughed out loud! Is this cute or what?!

I had just signed up with Skype and set up a webcam so I called her and we had a long chat with the webcam and got to see each other. This was my first webcam experience from my computer and it was so much fun! It was extra special as Emily lives in Denver and we don't see her enough. Now as soon as my other daughter, Abby, who lives in Houston sets up her webcam we'll be good to go.

It would have been easy after I had received Emily's e-mail to have thought to myself "I'll just call her tomorrow." I'm so glad I didn't! How often does that happen? We think of a person or we think of something kind we should do for someone and we put it off and then it never gets done.

Two other special people I made time for were my mom and dad. I spoke near where they live last week so I took mom out for a special coffee and then stopped at the Senior Center to say hi to my dad who was playing his daily game of pool.
