Football Season is Here!

Admit it, you love this time of year.

With the NFL regular season underway, fans from all walks of life turn their attention to pro football. Every week, teams will put their season on the line to battle it out and reach the ultimate goal: make it to Super Bowl XLIV here in South Florida.

That's where we come in; preparing the South Florida region for Super Bowl XLIV and Pro Bowl 2010. Nobody does it better than us. This is our record-breaking 10th Super Bowl here. Super Bowl XLIV kicks off at Dolphin Stadium on February 7, 2010.

Oh, and did you know we're also hosting the 2010 Pro Bowl too? Plenty of hype and excitement will fill South Florida as the NFL's All-Star game hits Dolphin Stadium on January 31, 2010.

Here at the South Florida Super Bowl Host Committee, we've been hard at work for more than a year now. In fact, we've had the honor of meeting many of you over the past several months at our many events around Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties.

With kickoff of the regular season now here, you're going to see us even more.
Especially at all the Miami Dolphins home games. Starting on September 21st, we will be in the Press Box for the Fins Monday Night Home opener against the Indianapolis Colts passing out our Media Guides. Those guides are filled with important information about both the Super Bowl and Pro Bowl.

It's our first impression and one that will remind everyone that the biggest games of the year will be coming home, to South Florida. (Below is sneak peak of our Media Guide Cover.)

Meeting & Exceeding Expectations
The South Florida Super Bowl Host Committee has already reached many milestones in the past month or so, surpassing the goals we initially set. Each department has worked tirelessly to achieve their respective goals and now it's paying off.

The Volunteers Services Department already has more than 4,000 Ambassadors, with more signing up every day. That number is far ahead of 2007, the last Super Bowl held in South Florida. Football season has just begun and we're already more than halfway to our goal of 8,000 volunteers! We want you to volunteer. Just go to our
website and click Volunteer.

The Community Outreach Department  has accomplished its goal of registering over 500 companies in the online Business Resource Guide for the NFL Emerging Business Program. This guide will be used as reference by the National Football League (NFL); NFL primary contractors; Super Bowl Host Committee and non-NFL affiliates to offer small-, minority-, and women-owned businesses access to their procurement opportunities.  Additionally, the guide will showcase a number of South Florida's premier small businesses.  Get to know these small businesses; visit our website and support their services -; click on Emerging Business; and view via the Resource Guide.

The Communications Department continues to increase its numbers on the Host Committee web site, as well as on our social networking sites. If you're not following us on Facebook, Twitter or our Blog, then you need to sign up right now. Thousands of people all over the world are keeping up with us on our social networking platforms, and those numbers grow by the hour. And that's not all, our web site, is now setting records for page views.
