Spring Release is one of our most favorite
times of the year around here. It often
marks the start of our busy season. The
winter weather disappears, the sun starts to
emerge, and the people start to get out - in
droves!
But, more seriously, we love
this time of year because of the abundance of
amazing inventory that we are able to bring
in. Last night, we took a look at our Cheese
Closet and our Deli Case and could not help
but grin. They are stocked full from every
one of our favorite suppliers. Our truck
from the East Coast arrived on Tuesday and
all we can say is man, it was stocked full of
some tasty goodness.
We thought we would
send a quick note out to our fans, as most of
you will be out and about this weekend
enjoying the wonderful wines that our lovely
Walla Walla Valley has to enjoy. We thought
we encourage you to stop in the store, see
what's in stock, and even let us pack a
picnic for your wine tasting adventures this
weekend.
And, we'd like to throw a
shout out to a few wineries that will be
serving up some Salumiere treats this weekend
- be sure to stop by Syzygy, Rotie Cellars
(grand opening!), Le Chateau, Cadaretta, Va
Piano, Castillo de Feliciana, Tero Estates,
Flying Trout, Ensemble Cellars and a few
other surprises for some great wine and great
food. We can't wait to see you!

We love that we have the opportunity to
spread the word about this wonderful service
every year. The women of
Delta Gamma at Whitman College again are
conducting their annual fundraiser,
Anchor Drive. It's a designated driving
service for weekend wine tasting trips
and is the group's largest fundraiser.
Proceeds directly benefit the Delta
Gamma national philanthropy, Service for
Sight and the local United Blind of
Walla Walla by installing audible crosswalks
for the visually impaired.
Anchor Drive operates on a donation basis,
with the suggested rate of $20 per
hour per vehicle. If you are interested in
hiring a driver, please e-mail
anchordrive@gmail.com
with the number of people in your party, the
days you would like a driver, and
whether you would like to use your personal
vehicle or reserve a car. Early
signups are encouraged.
Please be safe and don't drink and drive!
