Things are starting to warm up in Walla
Walla, and if you haven't been in the store in a while,
you need to swing by! Our shelves are already filling
up with some of the great products that we have
sourced from our trip to the Fancy Food Show in
January, as well as some new products that we have
brought in from other parts of the world.
We
are approaching our first anniversary (April 6th!) and
we would like to thank each and every one of you for
making the past 12 months a great success. Cheers!

For those of you have not been in the Cheese Closet
in a while, you missed the cutting of the Neal's Yard
Dairy Lincolnshire Poacher - we still have some left,
but it is going fast.
Also, just over this past
weekend, we cut into the Neal's Yard Dairy Isle of Mull
Cheddar. We have been aging this fantastic cheese
in
our closet for two months, and boy was it worth it!
This is a truly unique cheese, and we encourage you
to come in and give it a try.
And finally,
River's Edge Chevre is back in stock. We are working
with this amazing, small, family-run operation to keep
their artisan cheeses available in Walla Walla.
Come walk in our
Cheese Closet for a taste of these lovely treats, and
over 30 other fantastic artisanal cheeses from
around the world.

Wine & Beer |
|
We have just received a whole new selection of wine
and beer.
This time, we focused on bringing
in wine from France and Spain as the 2005 vintage
was exceptional in both countries. Some of the areas
that we have brought wine in from include Sauterne,
Vouvray, Sancerre, Cotes du Rhone, Rioja, and an
incredible Savenierre, among others. Drop by the
store to find out more about these incredible wines,
and to check out some amazing wine bargains that
we are offering right now.
We have also brought in a fantastic selection
of Belgian and Belgian-style beer. We are continually
being told that we have the best selection of beer in
town and we are constantly striving to live up to that
reputation. Some of the new beers include three from
Allagash - two of which are aged in wood barrels, a
Belgian-style Wheat, a traditional Cherry Lambic and a
rare Flemish Wild Ale. If you enjoy a good beer, these
are meant for you!

Fresh Produce |
|
The citrus season is winding down and the spring
vegetable season is just beginning to warm up. We
are getting the last shipments of Meyer Lemons and if
you haven't been in to see and taste the Seville
Oranges, they are amazing juiced over our fresh
organic arugula. We expect spring onions and
asparagus to be coming in soon, and in the
meantime, we will continue to source the most fresh
and best quality produce for our customers. We
receive new produce every week - stop by to see what
is fresh!
|
Lunch |
|
Did you know we serve lunch? Our menu changes
regularly based upon what is ultimately fresh. We
always have available our lunchboxes, cheese plates,
charcuterie trays - change your daily routine, come in
and have something different for lunch! And, don't
forget about us for those springtime picnics - just give
us a call and we can put together the perfect spread.
