    Neal's Yard Cheddar

We had such great success over the holidays with some special winter cheeses, we thought we would bring some of the most special ones back to the Cheese Closet:

    • Ubriaco Proseco from Italy
    • Lincolnshire Poacher from Neal's Yard Dairy in England
    • Isle of Mull Cheddar from Neal's Yard Dairy in England
Come walk in our Cheese Closet for a taste of these lovely treats, and over 30 other fantastic artisanal cheeses from around the world.

    Salumi
    salumi

If you haven't tried our handcrafted Mortadella from Salumeria Billese in New York, you should come in quickly before we run out! We are hearing from our customers that this is the best they have had in years...

Also, some of the favorite Salumi products from Seattle will be back in stock next week. We nearly sold everything out over the holidays, so come back to take advantage of the new stock!

    Wine & Beer
    las rocas

We have some amazing wine and beer in stock right now. If you have not been in recently, it's time to come check out some fabulous finds at great prices.

And, the ever popular 2004 Las Rocas Grenache from Spain is back - we have a few cases that are going quickly!

Come in for a visit and see what's on the rack.

    Fresh Produce & Truffles!
    truffle

For those of you who feel compelled to always make a New Year's resolution, we have back in stock some great baby arugula, meyer lemons and as a special treat - Cara Cara Oranges. If you do not know what a Cara Cara Orange is - we'll explain: The CARA CARA Navel Orange (also known as the Red or Pink Navel) is probably the result of a cross between Washington and Brazilian Bahia navels, according to Allen Susser's The Great Citrus Book. The pulp is actually more the color of a ruby grapefruit, not nearly as orange as you might expect. Attributed to the Hacienda de Cara Cara in Valencia, Venezuela, the CARA CARA's flavor is low acid and sweet, and has more depth and richness than that of the traditional navel. We believe that the CARA CARA NAVEL ORANGE is the best citrus around!

And, for the rest of us who have already thrown in the towel, we have just received our first shipment of fresh White Wild Oregon truffles. All we can say is "Oh Boy"! These are perfect for risotto, shaving over poached eggs on Sunday morning, or just indulging with while you can!

This is a great way to get the year off on a healthy start, without sacrificing flavor!

    Gustiamo!
    wine and chocolate

We are putting our calendar together for the next Gustiamo events. Here are some of the ideas in the works:

    • Chocolate and Cabernet Tasting
    • Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar Tasting
    • Pinot Noir Tasting
    • Local Winemaker Events

We will update our website with the dates once finalized, and of course will send you an email with the details!

    We're Going Shopping!

And we think you are going to love what we bring back. We are taking a whirlwind trip to visit some of our best suppliers to see what's new and bring back all kinds of hard to find gourmet food items, wine and beer for you to enjoy. Therefore, we will be CLOSED from January 20 to January 28. And, come early Spring, expect to see the store just full of our great findings!

    Cheers!
