Blog it!
Did you attend the Rock the Mall event in Washington DC? If so, GSOSW wants to feature your story on our blog! Contact Rebekah at rhubbard@girlscoutsosw.org to share stories, photos or videos from the event, and your content may be selected for use in a special Rock the Mall recap blog post!
Interested in being a part of the Product Sale Program?

There are service units that need volunteers to make the Fall Product Program a reality for girls. Now is a great time to test the waters of what an Service Unit Product Manager does.

The Fall Product Program is designed to be a short & sweet sale; no cupboards or extra ordering. With only one order to place and a much smaller delivery and incentive to go out, the Fall Product Program is a great place to start! The only step left is to follow up with troops & help them with final deposits. That's all there is to it.

Please share this great opportunity with your fellow volunteers! Anyone interested can fill out a Service Team Interest Form and we'll be in touch.

Earn Money for Travel!

Plan on doing any traveling? Would you like some money to help pay for the trip? Girls can earn money for travel by working at the Oregon State Fair Stroller Booth!

We are looking for girls (entering grades 6-12) to help work in the stroller booth this summer at the Oregon State Fair from August 24 to September 3, 2012. If you plan on traveling and want in on this great opportunity, email Jen Kehret to schedule your shifts at GirlScoutStrollerBooth@gmail.com. Make sure to include your troop number, troop leader's name and both email and phone contact information. Shifts will be open for sign up on July 23 and assigned on a first come, first served basis. Be aware that it may take several days to receive a response, and that the shifts are assigned on a first come, first served basis as measured by the time stamp on the email.

Each shift consists of two adults and two girls. Parking is free at the event. The profit from the stroller booth will be divided equally among all of the shifts and the checks will be cut to the troops at the end of October. Each troop or individually registered Girl Scout can work a maximum of two shifts. If a troop or individually registered Girl Scout would like more than two shifts they must email Jen after August 6 to sign up for those additional shifts if they are available. Please indicate your top three shift choices when registering.

Shifts will be on the following dates:
Friday August 24 THROUGH Monday September 3.

Sundays through Thursdays      Fridays and Saturdays
10:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m.                10:00 a.m. - 2:30p.m.

Family Partnership and Upcoming Leadership Events

The Family Partnership/1912 Society Troop Packets
were mailed to one adult member in each troop and although they were intended to go to leaders and co-leaders, in many cases they were mailed to parent helpers or other adults registered with the troop. If you are leader and co-leader please check with the adults in your troop if you haven't received a packet yet. If you are a troop adult who received the packet please let the leader and co-leader know you have it.

You may also request another packet from Nicky Aiello at (503) 977-6833 or naiello@girlscoutsosw.org. Don't miss your opportunity to participate in the exciting Family Partnership prizes for individuals, troops and service units.
