If you live or visit in Phoenix Arizona I would like to personally invite you to join us every Monday night for an enlightening and enjoyable encounter with the Torah and with others like you who love to read and study it.
If you cannot attend this class you can use the links we provide here to read the portion of this week and study some of the commentaries. It is helpful to know some Hebrew, but you do not need to know any Hebrew to participate! The discussions are conducted in English and every Hebrew word is clearly explained for all to understand. Everyone is welcome to take part in this discussion group to brings to life the beauty and depth of the original Hebrew text of the Bible.
Many blessings -
Uri Harel

Reading the Bible in Hebrew March 2, 2008 |
8th Century Seal from the City of David uncovered.
The seal excavated in the City of David bears the name of a public official from the 8th century BCE. The find reveals that by 2,700 years ago, clerks and merchants had already begun to add their names to the seals instead of the symbols that were used in earlier centuries. The state-run archeological body said the seal, which was discovered near the Gihon Spring in the City of David outside the walls of the Old City, bears the Hebrew name Rephaihu (ben) Shalem, a public official who lived in the Jerusalem neighborhood during this period.
