We hope you have heard the good news that we will be partnering with Create Common Good to prepare our school lunches this year. We are very excited by the great food they provide, the fresh ingredients they use and the great service they provide to the community. This partnership will be great for our kids, great for parents, great for Anser and great for the community! There is an increase in the price of meals to $3.50 this year. However, we would have sustained this increase had we continued to use Boys and Girls Club for our lunches as well. We are convinced that you and your children will be really excited about ordering lunches this year when you see the high quality nutritious ingredients and how tasty they are.

All Families: Please place your order no later than 9:00pm Sunday August 26th, the night of the Back To School Picnic.
New Families: We will help you set up your lunch account at New Family Registration.
Folks from Create Common Good will be at the picnic if you would like to meet them and get to know more about their program. Here is what they wanted you to know about their program and their food:
Create Common Good uses food to change lives. We provide training and employment to refugees and others in need in order to prepare them for jobs in their new community. We operate small farms, value-added food production, catering and food service for the community - all to better prepare refugees to thrive. Our food is fresh and healthy, prepared with locally grown, organic produce from our farms when possible. We incorporate whole grains into the majority of our foods, and we nutritionally enhance foods by adding freshly pureed veggies to sauces, soups, and more. We don't use pre-packaged, prepared foods; nearly all our ingredients are created from scratch. Our gourmet granola and other specialty products are also made without preservatives. Every meal that we craft is delicious, made with love, and prepared by individuals who are rebuilding their lives in Boise.
