 | The Fall Fund Drive has met its $40,000 goal!! | | |
Hooray Anser Families! The Fall Fund Drive has met its $40,000 goal!! As we wrap up the Fall Fund Drive, let us express our thanks to all of the families that have contributed. These tough financial times have been challenging for all schools and Anser is no exception. But through the support of our Anser families, whether it be through financial contributions or through donations of time and talent, Anser has been able to continue offering exceptional opportunities to our students. As we leave for Winter Break, please know how much you and the many ways you donate to the school are appreciated by the Anser staff. Thank you to the following families for their donations this week to the Fall Fund Drive: Bert and Lisa Vandercar, Erika and Clay Fulfer, Diane Bilyeu, Jenah Thornborrow, Roger, Lisa and Challis Cates, Mary Fluck, Erin Hopkins, Kurt Kallmeyer, Hallie Davidson and Denton Musser, Dan Stout and Becky Marks Stout and Chris and Julie Thompson.

 | Anser Math Committee | | |
This fall, an Anser Math Committee was formed in order to study how our students transition into the Boise School District math classes. The committee has finalized their work and invite you to read about our process as well as the results. Please visit the Anser website http://www.ansercharterschool.org to find this information.
|
 | Weather Related School Closures
| | |
As we head into winter we want to remind you of Anser's procedure for closing school due to weather conditions. In the event that a storm is predicted to cause hazardous conditions the Idaho Department of Transportation works with Boise School District to determine whether it is necessary to close area schools. In the event that Boise School District cancels school, Anser will also cancel school. The best way to determine if school has been cancelled is to watch your local news station in the morning to see if Boise School District has cancelled. Anser staff will also endeavor to place a notice on the Anser website, but watching your local news will be your best source of information.

 | Anser MC U13 Lacrosse | | |
It may be possible that we can get all Anser MC boys together on the same lacrosse team if they are interested. Fielding our own team of 20 boys would be difficult but we are working to have the opportunity to combine the Anser boys on a single U13 lacrosse team. If your son would be interested in playing on that team please contact Peter Anderson at 336-7020 or Jim Harper at 345-1051.

 | BOX TOPS for Education | | Recently, 8th-grader, Sam Gottsch, was depositing some lids in the Pink Yoplait Labels for breast cancer collection box when he noticed the Box Tops for Education collection box sitting next to it. When he looked inside, he was mighty surprised to find very few box tops. Sam is asking everyone at ANSER to look around their house to see if they have any box tops to contribute. There are well over 200 products that participate in the Box Tops for Education program - everything from cereal to frozen food, paper towels to office and school supplies and even trash bags! To jump start the effort, Sam has deposited 200 box tops in the collection box and has posted a list of participating products on the bulletin board next to it. Let's start filling that collection box and earn some cash for ANSER!
