TMA Europe Distressed Debt Soirée 

Over 100 delegates from across Europe attended the inaugural TMA Europe Distressed Debt event; a soirée hosted by lawyers, Taylor Wessing at their London office with fine views of the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. Inspired by and based on TMA's Distressed Investing Conference, two panels discussed the burning issues facing the region's turnaround professionals; the gap in distressed debt seller and buyer expectations constraining turnaround activity and the impact of the imbalance in the Euro currency area on restructuring opportunity in the Eurozone countries.

Sizzling Summer in London!

Perhaps not in terms of sunshine but what a Summer for London to shine. We started with one of the most public outbreaks of countrywide patriotism of recent memory with the Queen's Golden Jubilee, and ended on a golden note with the bringing home of 185 medals from the Olympic and Paralympic games.  

At TMA (UK) we have also had a successful close to this normally quiet business period.  During September we celebrated the launch of a new Scottish region. We now have 11 UK regions hosting more than 30 educational & networking events a year, attracting over 2,000 attendees. We also held events in London, Birmingham and Newcastle and welcomed the first TMA European Distressed Investors Conference and 10 new members and sponsors to our association.  

We have 9 events planned for the rest of the year, including our conference on November 15th, rated by 95% of those who commented last year as excellent or good use of their time.
