Brownstone's featured "Book of the Month" Review
Beginning this month, we are going to review a financial book that we think may be of benefit to you. There are so many educational books out there that are instructive and informative in a positive sense. Let's face it. The Mortgage community has been under great criticism lately, some justified, some not. Rather than be bitter about it, we think the better approach is to rise above it by being more professional and more knowledgeable.
To that end, we will review a book each month. This month, we are reviewing a Michael Lewis book that he wrote in 2010 entitled The Big Short. I find Michael Lewis' books to be well researched and a relatively easy read. He incorporates humor with personal stories of real life people.
If you have a book that you would like to recommend to us, please send me an email or call me. I think the more knowledgeable we become in the financial services industry, of which the mortgage industry is a part, the better we are as professionals and the better our borrowers and clients are served.
Also, if you do go out and read Michael Lewis' book, I would like to hear what you think of it.
Have a good summer and enjoy. Life is short.
