Your Safety

Use the buddy system when you go out and get directions ahead of time so you know where you're going. Be aware of your surroundings.  When you check into the hotel take a hotel card with the address on it, just in case you get lost and need assistance in getting directions back.

Airport Guidelines

Please remember TSA (Transportation Security Administration) regulations must be followed at all times.  Please refer to their website for additional details:  http://www.tsa.gov/

pride. Colonial Williamsburg has been both protected and re-constructed to recreate a living and breathing rendition of life in this 18th century settlement. Visit the blacksmith's forge or take a turn in the criminal stockades. Eat and drink your way through the numerous taverns or pick up authentic goods from the many local stores and trading posts. The town's central location also makes visits to Jamestown (one of America's first settlement's) and Yorktown (a turning point in the Revolutionary War) easily achieved. An incredible educational experience coupled with great restaurants, lodging and entertainment make Williamsburg a destination that is nearly impossible to pass up.

What is your favorite destination and why?

Due to the nature of my job, I have the opportunity to take 5 and sometimes 6 trips per year both domestic and international. Each year I take school groups to Orlando, St. Augustine, Tampa, and Washington D.C. However, the one trip I look forward to the most is our drama trip to New York City (which is my hometown) where we see four Broadway shows and visit other places such as Chinatown, Little Italy, 5th Avenue, Central Park, and Ground Zero.

Of all the services EATours offers, what is it you most like, and why?

Euro American Tours is extremely flexible when it comes to making an itinerary. You can choose your places of interest, your restaurants, your

flight times (if applicable) and your wake up calls. They also provide you with a tour escort to be one step ahead of you for checking in to hotels, Paying the admission tickets, having the tour guides and busses on time, confirming meal reservations and to handle any minor problems which may arise. It's very comforting to know someone from the Euro American Tours is always with you.

What sort of methods do you use for recruiting that other teachers may find helpful to assist in their own recruiting efforts?

Our trips have been a staple in our curriculum for over 25 years so recruiting students is never a problem. I do have meetings with each grade level to get them excited about their trip and to make them feel comfortable since some of our students have never been away from home, without their parents, for an extended period of time. Most of our students have siblings who have travelled with me before therefore they have already been informed about the trip but now can't wait to actually visit these places.

What destination(s) do you plan on traveling to in the future?

Besides the places mentioned above, I have taken school trips during Spring Break to France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Spain, Greece, Italy, England, and Scotland. I am looking forward to hopefully taking a group to China and Australia in the very near future.
