Your Suitcase
Find a suitcase that you can manage without assistance; something on wheels that you can pack with a few mix and match wrinkle-free pieces. Bring along a small carry-on with your essentials: prescription medication, makeup, fresh under clothing, a small snack and copies of your passport, credit card, airline ticket and itinerary. A second copy of these items should be left at home with a family member in case of emergencies.
Airport Guidelines
Please remember TSA (Transportation Security Administration) regulations must be followed at all times. Please refer to their website for additional details: http://www.tsa.gov/

Boston, MA American Featured Destination AN AMERICAN JOURNEY-A LOOK INTO OUR HISTORY NOW AND THEN!
Boston, a singular city that has seen more than its fair share of history, was settled in the 1600's. America's revolution against British authority began on this city's streets and was fought in its harbors. Today, the city boasts numerous higher education institutions and a sizeable tourism trade, thanks to its role as gateway to numerous American landmarks. Follow the same paths of legendary American hero Paul Revere, or step back in history by visiting historic battlefields such as those at Lexington or Concorde. Additional highlights in the Boston area may include a visit to the Plimoth Plantation, Plymouth Rock, a walk on the Freedom Trail, site of the famous Salem Witch Trials, and homes of Louisa May Alcott, Ralph Waldo Emerson and Nathaniel Hawthorne. Without question, a visit to Boston is a highlight in the education of any young person. | |

Teacher Spotlight: Deirdre Gaughan
Assistant Principal - The Ursuline School
What is your favorite destination and why?
We have traveled so many wonderful destinations that it is difficult to choose just one! I must say our trip to Spain last year was especially popular and has inspired us to begin in Barcelona as we travel to France this spring. Of all the services EATours offers, what is it you most like, and why?
Euro American Tours clearly strives to provide the best possible accommodations and transportation for our trip. The wonderful staff

also takes care of the logistics of the trip so expertly, both before and during our travel, that I am able to focus my attention on making sure that the students are having the best experience we can provide. What sort of methods do you use for recruiting that other teachers may find helpful to assist in their own recruiting efforts?
We are very fortunate that our trip is at capacity each year, often with a waiting list! This is primarily due to the enthusiastic word-of-mouth shared by the participants the year before. In fact, we are already fielding questions about our destination in 2012! I think that the beautiful scrapbooks the students assemble after the trip, which we then display in the front foyer of the school, helps spread the word that the trips are educational and, as the candid photos attest, a lot of fun as well!
What destination(s) do you plan on traveling to in the future? Our school has not traveled to Berlin or Prague; I would like to build a trip around one of these destinations in the near future. |
