Clinical Decision Supports: Maximizing their Value; Minimizing your Efforts

Healthcentric Advisors and partners (RI REC and Rhode Island Medical Society)

 

This 30-minute "drop-in" call is a follow-up to a February 7th micro-session about the same topic. Get answers to your questions about how to get the most value from your EHR's clinical decision supports, including how to use them efficiently; choose the best ones for your workflows; and prevent alert fatigue.

This session is the follow-up to the second in a series of eight 15-minute webinars that provide practical tools and support in getting the most out of your EHR for the least amount of effort. These free sessions are part of Healthcentric Advisors' EHR Network Project, funded by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid. Although the webinars are designed for those already using an EHR, any RI physician practice may participate.  

 

EHR software demonstrations

If you are evaluating EHR systems to implement in your practice, join us for our series of EHR software vendor demonstrations. You will have the opportunity to see the features of the software and ask questions about implementation and workflow. A light dinner will be provided beginning at 5:30 pm.

    PrimeSUITE®
    is their single-database platform EHR, practice management, and interoperability product. It integrates all clinical, financial, and administrative data to promote information sharing and ensure quick adoption through simple, intuitive tools that optimize daily processes. PrimeSUITE is fully certified for Stage 1 Meaningful Use criteria.  


    PrimeSPEECH provides embedded speech understanding that replaces transcription services and advances beyond simple dictation. PrimeMOBILE is a mobile EHR application that provides access to ambulatory data housed in PrimeSUITE, across a range of handheld devices.

Meaningful Use presentations - offering CME credits

Please join for the first presentation in a series about Meaningful Use sponsored by RI REC and the Lifespan/Physicians PSO. Whether you have just started using an EHR or have already attested to Stage 1 Meaningful Use, you'll find a session in this series to meet the needs of your practice.

    Meaningful Use: Are you eligible for incentive dollars? and How to create a strategy for your practice
    Presenter: Andréa Levesque, Relationship Manager, RIQI's Regional Extension Center

    This first-in-a-series presentation about Meaningful Use of an EHR will provide an overview of Meaningful Use and how to choose a strategy to achieve it in your practice. Ms. Levesque will review the Medicare and RI Medicaid EHR Incentive Programs and provide an understanding of the incentive dollar amounts that providers are eligible to receive. She also will share a Meaningful Use Strategy Checklist and explain the next steps to take.

Free 3-day CPEHR training and certification program 

This is a great opportunity to take and complete a course in 3 days that usually meets over a 12-week period. At the end of three days, you will take an exam to become a Certified Professional in Electronic Health Records (CPEHR).

    CPEHR Training and Certification Program
    Collaboration of New England Institute of Technology, Healthcentric Advisors, and the RI Regional Extension Center 

    This three-day program covers the material usually presented in a 12-week classroom setting. The training is designed for those involved in designing, implementing, optimizing use of, or using data from an EHR. Topics include strategic planning, HIT project management, practice workflow redesign, data standardization and reporting, computer physician order entry, interoperability, clinical decision support, privacy and security, and using EHRs for quality improvement.
