Dear Friends, One of my favorite Scripture verses says: "This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!" Sunday will be a "glad day" in the life of our church! We welcome you to this day of fellowship, worship and fun. If you are bring a friend Sunday, we will be glad! We are interested in making a few important introductions in our time together that day. We want to introduce everyone in worship to the loving God we serve. We are here because Jesus Christ has touched us with his love and forgiveness. We are not perfect people, but folks hoping to learn a little more each day about our amazing God. When we know how much God loves us, we are empowered to better love others. Christ's forgiveness brings us gladness, wholeness and hope. We also want to introduce guests to our church and its ministries. Second Presbyterian Church has been in Bloomington for a long time, but what stands out is not our location but our purposes. We gather together to learn, serve and worship. God has brought us together to encourage us in this journey, and we believe God also sends us out in service to others. These are a few things we want to share with our visitors, but we also want very much to get to know them and hear their story. We want to learn what we have in common and we would really love to be able to welcome your friends into our church family. So Sunday is a day for introductions...a day for beginnings. I hope that everyone enjoys the worship service, our warm fellowship and some really great food. I hope that Sunday is a really "glad day" in your life, and I look forward to seeing all of you soon. With Gladness, Dave Bianchin
