The team which recently traveled to the LCP mission sites in the Philipines will share their experiences Sunday, August 5, at 10am in Marquis Chapel. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
Community Outreach Dinner | August 5
The Community Outreach Dinner (COD) is a monthly opportunity to bring the 2PC family together and to invite new people to 2PC. Dinner is from 11am-1pm in Fellowship Hall. Tickets are $6; $2 of that cost is used to fund tickets for 2PC community partners.There is a $22 maximum family cost.
Westside Block Party | August 11
2PC and other downtown churches will sponsor the Westside Block Party at First Christian Church on Saturday, August 11. Hundreds of children will get free school kits and be treated to food, entertainment, games and prizes. Volunteers are needed to set up on Friday evening and for Saturday shifts.
Donations for the event are also needed and can be dropped off at the south entry table or at Kim Pare's office. Items needed include: school supplies, Kleenex, paper towels, hand sanitizer and books and trinkets for game prizes. Rev. Dean Kladder will lead group discussion on the points raised in
The Unexpected Adventure. Join them in F100A at 10am to discuss taking risks to share your faith.
Habitat for Humanity | August 25
On Saturday, August 25, plan to join 2PC members from 8am-noon at a local Habitat for Humanity worksite. The group will meet at 7:15am at the church and go together to the site. This is a great opportunity for a small group or family to volunteer together. Volunteers must be at least 16-years old and a parent's signature is required for 16-18-year old volunteers. Those forms will be available the morning of August 25. Call

Rally Day | August 28
Kick off a new year of 2PC Christian education!
Age 2 through 5th grade children and parents can visit their new classroom and meet their new teacher.
Preschool classes are in the Martin Hall lower level and elementary classes are on the first floor of Martin Hall. Children's Ministry team members will help direct you to the correct room.
Jr. high and high school will have a 2PC.YM informational meeting at 10:10am in Grace Hall. Fall program plans, winter retreat dates, summer 2013 dates and more will be shared at this meeting.
All students, leaders and parents are encouraged to
attend this meeting.
Adults can learn more about new fall offerings and the all-church study. Teachers will be at a table with class descriptions and class books will be available for purchase.
Everybody's Normal Till You Get to Know Them
by John Ortberg is the fall all-church study book and will be available for purchase.
Children, youth and adult Christian Education classes will begin Sunday, September 9.
2PC Fellowship Golf Outing | August 26
Mark your calendars for August 26, the date of the annual 2PC golf outing. Tee times begin at noon and the entry fee is $42 and includes green fees, cart, a light lunch and the chance to win great prizes. Contact

Labor Day | September 2
On Sunday, September 2, services will be at 8:15am in Marquis Chapel and 10am in the sanctuary. After the 10am service, you're invited to attend a celebration that will include inflatables, games and a picnic lunch. This lunch will be our Community Outreach Dinner for September so tickets are $6 each with a maximum family cost of $22. $2 of that cost is used to fund tickets for 2PC community partners.
JOY Trip | September 2
