On Sunday, we will celebrate God's work this summer through camp!

Camp provides an important opportunity to be away from daily life and focus on Jesus. The relationships built, the fun had and the messages heard all provide an environment that encourages each camper and counselor further in faith. I'm excited to let you get a glimpse of that this Sunday morning.

This summer, kids and students from kindergarten through senior year of high school had opportunities to attend 2PC camps. The kindergarten - 5th graders spent their time at East Bay Camp on Lake Bloomington. The younger students came out for three days by bus while the older students stayed overnight for the week. Pictures of these two groups are at the bottom of this ePulse. Junior high students spent the week at the Great Escape in Wisconsin. High School students participated in a mission camp, serving those in need in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

I'm also excited to share the news about 2PC's new Children's and Childcare Director, Ann Lamkey! Ann will oversee ministry for kids from birth through 5th grade. She comes to us with impressive experience from her career as a principal, but more importantly she brings a vibrant faith in Christ. Ann and her husband Fred will be relocating to Bloomington-Normal and she begins work on July 23. I look forward to introducing her to you in worship on July 29.

Ann's hire brings the 2PC staff closer to the new structure and responsibilities that were set in motion by Dr. Don Crittenden's retirement. I will be handing off my responsibilities in Children's Ministries as Dean and I assume Don's previous ministry areas.

There is a lot going on in Family Ministries. Even as we celebrate Ann's arrival, we are saying goodbye to some faithful staff members. Today is intern Amanda Huels' final Sunday before she heads to Princeton for seminary. I hope you'll attend her farewell reception after the 11:11am service. Childcare Coordinator Ashley Barnish will also be moving at the end of July. Look for opportunities to celebrate Ashley's ministry soon.

In the midst of all these comings and goings, and as I look at the fruit of camp, I am reminded of Paul's words to the Corinthians: Paul planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. Indeed, some of us plant, some of us water, but God gives growth.

Praise the Lord!
Andrea

Please think and pray about the questions below as 2PC seeks to be faithful to God's will in the selection process:

1. What brought you to 2PC and what keeps you here?
2. How does 2PC foster growth in your relationship with God?
3. Where is God leading 2PC to live out our mission statement?
4. How are the current ministries of 2PC fulfilling God's purposes and what needs are not being met?
5. What one thing would you change about 2PC?
6. Where is God challenging us to step out in faith in current and future areas of ministry?
