Exciting New Volunteer Opportunity Will Provide Fresh Foods to Home Sweet Home Ministries
Fresh Market, located at
200 Greenbriar Drive, Normal, has offered daily food donations to Home Sweet Home Ministries (HSHM). This is a windfall for the many men, women and children fed each and every day at HSHM.
To make the opportunity a reality, several churches and agencies are partnering to provide volunteers to make a daily pickup at Fresh Market between 11am and 3pm. The pickup and delivery will most likely require a pickup truck, van, or SUV. If needed, volunteer drivers will be able to use a HSHM vehicle. Some lifting, loading and unloading will be involved.
 The volunteers may commit to a regular schedule (such as one day per week or month, etc.) or to serve as a back-up. This would also be an excellent service opportunity for a 2PC Small Group or several Small Groups together. Contact Home Sweet Home's Volunteer Coordinator Linda Smith by email or phone (828-7356).
