RAA MAINTENANCE FORUM Tuesday, May 17 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Location: Room 204, Nashville Convention Center (Please confirm location on the event program) RAA Staff: Connie Arnold Session Overview The agenda for this forum covers a wide range of key issues of great interest in the field of aircraft maintenance providers from air carriers to suppliers to MRO organizations. The session will feature presentations and discussions about the latest Federal Aviation Administration rulemaking activities and exemptions, as well as regulatory guidance for airworthiness directives.

This venue provides an opportunity for all convention attendees to receive briefings from the industry's pilot training leaders and regulators on the most pressing issues. Facilitated by RAA's Flight Training Committee co-chairman, attendees will have the opportunity to network, share information and best practices, and to receive the latest information about emerging regulations.

RAA DISPATCH FORUM Thursday, May 19 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Location: Room 209/210, Nashville Convention Center (Please confirm location on the event program) RAA Staff: Scott Foose Overview Airlines, regulators and key suppliers come together to discuss and collaborate. Topics ranging from employee staffing and performance, rulemaking and interpretations, operational control and oversight, best training practices, crew scheduling automation and weather prediction. Experts will provide details of airline industry safety initiatives and industry leading Advanced Qualification Program (AQP) developments. FAA REVIEW OF GUIDELINES FOR AIR CARRIER USE OF CONTACT TRAINING FACILITIES Wednesday, May 18 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Location: Room 208, Nashville Convention Center (Please confirm location on the event program) FAA Staff: Dan Jenkins and Eric Friedman Overview The FAA's Flight Standards Service - Air Carrier Training and 142 Training Center Branch, will provide a briefing and overview of the federal aviation regulations and Inspector Handbook guidelines that pertain to an air carrier's use of contract training facilities. This briefing will include an overview of the training provided to FAA principal operations inspectors (POI), and associated requirements for initial and ongoing contract training authorizations. During this session, discussions will focus on commonly misunderstood guidelines, required audits, operations specification maintenance, available on-line resources, and recommendations how to avoid some common pitfalls.
